Keegan Bradley: Embracing His Humble Beginnings
A Childhood in a Trailer Park
Keegan Bradley, the PGA champion, has always been proud of his New England roots. However, there is a part of his upbringing that he kept hidden for many years – his time spent living in a Massachusetts trailer park with his father, Mark. Despite the initial reluctance to talk about it due to concerns about how it may be perceived, Bradley now sees it as an integral part of his journey.
Reflecting on those days, Bradley recalls them as if they were straight out of a movie. He describes the experience of living in a trailer with bunk beds alongside his towering 6-foot-4 father as both humbling and formative. This period came about when his parents separated and he temporarily resided at Crystal Springs Trailer Park in Hopkinton, Mass.
A Source of Strength
While some may view this chapter of Bradley’s life as challenging or difficult, he now sees it as a source of strength and resilience. He acknowledges that these experiences have shaped him into the person and golfer he is today. By embracing this aspect of his past, Bradley has found a new sense of pride in where he comes from.
In sharing this story with others, Bradley hopes to inspire and connect with people on a deeper level. He recognizes that while tales of growing up in Vermont and skiing may be appealing to some, it is the raw honesty and authenticity behind his time in the trailer park that truly resonates with others.
