DP World’s International Swing to Kick Off at Iconic Venue
Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club, situated within the renowned Dubai Creek Resort, is gearing up to open the DP World’s International Swing in 2024 with the introduction of a brand-new event – the Dubai Invitational. This exciting tournament will take place in mid-January as part of a revamped DP World Tour schedule for 2023/24, showcasing the exceptional golf offerings available in the UAE.
A Strong Lineup of Events
The addition of the Dubai Invitational means that Dubai Golf and Viya Golf venues will now host a total of four events throughout the season. Alongside this new tournament, golf enthusiasts can look forward to attending the Hero Dubai Desert Classic at Emirates Golf Club also scheduled for January. Furthermore, the Abu Dhabi Championship at Yas Links has been elevated to form part of a two-part playoff series starting in November and concluding with the prestigious DP World Tour Championship at Jumeirah Golf Estates.

Past Champions at Dubai Creek
Before being selected as host for the upcoming Dubai Invitational, Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club had previously hosted two editions of The Desert Classic – one by David Howell in 1999 and another by Jose Coceres in 2000. These victories added prestige to an already esteemed venue known for its challenging course layout.

As one of UAE’s oldest golf courses celebrating its 30th anniversary this year since opening its doors back in 1993, DubaIi Creek has played an integral role in shaping Middle East’s golfing landscape.
