Swedish golfer daniel Chopra showcased his composure and skill to claim his first-ever PGA Tour title with a one-stroke victory at the Ginn sur Mer Classic in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Despite weather delays, Chopra managed to stay ahead of the competition and finish strong.

Chopra, who was tied for the lead overnight with Fredrik Jacobson and Shigeki Maruyama, took control of the tournament with a crucial birdie on the par-five 16th hole. He then maintained his lead by paring the final two holes to card a two-under-par 71 and finish at 19-under overall.

Jacobson and Maruyama both put up a fight but ultimately settled for second place at 18-under after solid rounds. American Dicky Pride impressed with a closing score of 64 but fell short of catching up to the leaders.

Born to a swedish mother and Indian father, Chopra’s diverse background adds an extra layer of intrigue to his victory. His strategic play throughout the tournament paid off as he secured not only the title but also a two-year exemption on the PGA Tour.

With this win, Chopra joins an elite group of first-time winners on tour this season. His steady performance under pressure highlights his potential for future success in professional golf.
